Have you heard the hit song Lovesick Girls from Blackpink who just released their album last week? Yes? well, I decided to create a post inspired by it because it's LOVE: a universal thing that everyone can relate to, right?

I mean, let’s be honest. finding love brings us so much joy, but when it is lost, everyone agrees it’s a universal pain in the hypothalamus. Love hurts but it also gives us an exciting feeling we can't explain! and that’s why we get addicted to it like a drug with unknown side effects.

So… Love Sick? What is Love Sick?

It is an affliction of yearning for someone you love that either doesn’t feel the same way (aww) or is gone and you probably want back desperately.

Lovesickness can be harmless but for others, it turns worse to the point of actually needing to seek medical treatment as it can be a serious diagnosis and can cause death.

According to Professor Alex Gardner, a clinical psychologist in Glasgow:

"People can die from a broken heart. You get into a state of despair and hopelessness. Some people could lead to extreme state of physical exhaustion and in extreme cases could take their own life.”

I believe we may all find a fair share of lovesickness with having our crush not liking us back to a loved one who is gone. Based on mine and other people's experiences, the majority among us girls would automatically be in a state of self-doubt thinking that we are not worthy to be fought for or liked; or thinking that it was our sole fault it did not work even though it was clearly seen that the person was toxic to us and we refuse to notice it. (True friends make you see that!)

My dear ladies who are experiencing lovesickness even those who aren’t YET or on the way, the important thing to remember is "YOU ARE WORTH IT". I am that best friend that will say stop destroying your beautiful self just so you can force yourself to the wrong person especially the ones that are dressed like a daydream but in reality, full of toxins (*sighs* I know it's hard LOL) but class and trash don't go together.

I know it's not easy to accept a person we lost or can't have but when we know our worth, we will be able to choose between drinking poison like water every day or drinking a lot of Evian or sparkling water we actually know we deserve (see the picture?) Our worthiness, it gives us that will to move on because...

"We finally have the courage to choose ourselves and what's best for us.".

I would like to share a dose of 26 quotes of medicine (credits to its owners) that hopefully will help with that sickness and give you the strength to move on, learn, and heal, my friend.

Dear Lovesick Girl:

1. Sometimes holding on does more damage than letting go.

2. You will not heal by going back to what broke you.

3. Remove yourself from people who treat you like your time doesn’t matter, like your feelings are worthless, or like your soul is replaceable. (Because it’s not)

4. Some people are like clouds, when they disappear, it’s a beautiful day.

5. If it causes you more pain than happiness, let go. (It’s not worth it, your worth it)

6. Move on gorgeous, there are guys that would beg for your pretty heart. (Word!)

7. A real man does not play mind games with women; only weak insecure and immature boys do that. (Remember that)

8. The reason why we can’t let go of someone is that deep inside we still have hope.

9. One of the hardest things you will ever have to do is to grieve the loss of a

person still alive. (instead of burying him in your heart, bury him at the trunk of your car lol)

10. What is coming is better than what is gone.

11. Sometimes you have to forget what you feel and remember what you deserve.

12. You never realized how f***** up someone treated you until you explain it to someone else. (This is actually true hahaha)

13. You are worth more than second thoughts or maybes.

14. Don’t stress the could haves; if it should have, it would have.

15. If they don’t chase you when you're walking away; keep walking. (With a hair flip)

16. Letting go means to realize that some people are part of your history but not part of your destiny.

17. Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.

18. Biggest comeback: making yourself happy again.

19. Go to sleep, he is not thinking about you. (Reality check)

20. Let him go and move the hell on. You need to make space in your heart for someone who has the capacity to love you just as much as you love them.

21.Why should I chase if I am a catch? (That's right, say it again!)

22. Self-love is the biggest middle finger of all. (I would definitely put that middle finger up to the world)

23. You don’t lose a good man. You lose a man who’s not good for you.

24. There is a difference between giving up and knowing when you have had enough.

25. Your flaws are perfect for the heart that is meant to love you.

26. One of the most courageous decisions you will ever make is to finally let go of what is hurting your heart and soul.

That's it!

It's okay to feel a little lovesick, it's normal.

Like any other illnesses, you grow to learn and deal with it so whenever you get hit by it, you know what to do. In this case, you can learn to deal with love more maturely through every experience; just don't forget to take care of yourself because like I said, again and again, you're worth it and enough!
