How to Depuff a Bloated Face

Do you ever just have one of those days when you wake up and feel like your face swelled up in the middle of the night? Believe me, I have those days all the time. Puffy face is not something you want in cases of very important dates or events. For us to find a solution to a problem, we first must understand what causes the problem. Setting other medical conditions aside, facial puffiness is usually caused by water retention due to high levels of sodium and here’s some tips and tricks how to decrease that puffiness on needed mornings:

1. Wash your face with cold water

Cold water can constrict blood vessels thus decrease the swelling.

2. Ice-method

I know this trick is the most commonly used one but do not put the ice directly onto your face. Most people would just grab an ice out of their freezer and just start rubbing it onto their face but there’s a risk factor in that. Our face has this nerve called the ‘trigeminal nerve’ and placing an ice directly onto our face can damage it causing facial palsy or also known as Bell’s palsy. We recommend wrapping the ice in a cloth or sticking your spoon in the freezer and just using that.


3. Jade rolling method

The Jade rolling method became insanely popular thanks to beauty influencers and celebrities that use this tool but where did it really come from? Well, the use of the jade stone dates back to Ancient and Modern Asia where it is most popularly used in feng shui. Moving on to its connection with facial depuffing, according to ancient times, jade has an alternative healing effect that goes about purifying your energy field in a manner that is accepting, loving, and wise.

Those are the three fastest methods to depuff your beautiful face as you get ready for your big date or event! But the best way will always be to avoid eating salty foods the night before your planned day. Stay beautiful babes!💋
