Okay guys, so I'm guessing this is the second most personal thing I've ever shared on this blog. The first one was my struggle with depression. This time it's going to be a poem that I have unearthed deep, deep, deep in my archives. So I wrote this about five months after the initial heartbreak. I know I'm not the only one who fell for a guy and progressed the relationship without labels just because your afraid you'll scare him away or because you're afraid you'll lose him (Spoiler alert: my next article will be about this. It will be entitled 'You Deserve a Label' or somewhere near that context So subscribe now to be notified of its release!).

It's no secret that I love writing down my feelings. I've already said that in one of my articles. That is why I keep a depression diary as well as another personal diary. That is also the reason why if I have any repressed feelings or emotions, I'd rather write in down in pen and paper (figuratively) to release the tension or pain I have inside of me. The point of this blog is about having a safe haven to open up to and release any remaining anger or unresolved feelings you have. So here I am releasing this poem out to the public.

The title of this poem was inspired by the song 'Almost Lover' by A Fine Frenzy. That's because I always listened to that song over and over again during the hard times. I really resonated with the song especially the part when she sang "You sang me Spanish lullabies". LOL. That part really hit me.

Anyway, this post was really meant to be short. It's only meant to give me the closure I really deserved. I still feel unsure whether this post really gave me that closure. But what I'm 100% sure about is that when I publish this post, I'll finally let go of my bottled emotions.

Wishing you all the best,

- Anne D. 👋🏻
